Abstract

The article examines the development of Russian regions in the context of sanctions in response to Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, adopted since March 2022 by the United States, the EU and other countries. The socio-economic consequences of sanctions and the main coping measures are analyzed. The options for mobilizing financial resources in order to implement counter-sanctions in regional development, minimizing the decline of public production on the basis of technological re-equipment, supporting the welfare of the population and preserving the Russian people under sanctions are being investigated.
