Abstract

The article analyzes current trends in female crime in the economic sphere. The purpose of the article is outlined by the author as improving the state-legal mechanism for preventing female crime in the economic sphere. The research methodology is based on a structural analysis of the dynamics of female crime in the economic sphere, a synthesis of the obtained statistical information and, on their basis, identifying promising directions for changing legislation in the area under consideration. To achieve this goal, an analysis of the determinants contributing to the commission of crimes by women was carried out. Economic factors are recognized as the key causes of female economic crime, including the level of wages and unemployment, the involvement of women in social and political life, the cost of living, etc. The following presents the results of a structural analysis of statistical information reflecting the number of women prosecuted and judicial practice illustrating the specific features of female economic crime. 
 Based on the materials reviewed, the author concluded that there are the most typical features of female economic crime, the prevention of which can reduce its level. The result of the work carried out is a proposal to amend the current legislation, which reflects the practical significance of the study. Amendments are proposed to the National Strategy for Action in the Interests of Women in terms of consolidating assistance to women’s public organizations 
 as a priority area for the prevention of female crime.
