Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to look at the expected role of sport science and sport from the perspective of Gilles Deleuze’s transcendental empiricism and to derive the necessary implications.
Method: The study was conducted from an analytical perspective on the subject, without the use of statistics or analysis frameworks as a method of study based on experience.
Results: The results of the study have three main parts. In the first exploration and consideration of sport science, the absence of organized theories and concepts related to sport, the disturbance of sport discipline, and the lack of independence in sport discipline were derived as major issues and discussions. The exploration and consideration of the expected role of the second sport examined four aspects: politics, economy, society, and education. From a political and economic standpoint, it could be derived that sport is being used as a means of creating an atmosphere for economic revitalization, such as a medium that can win the support of the people. As for the expected role of sport in terms of social and educational aspects, enjoyment, participation, acquisition of related technologies, and enhancement of physical activity functions were derived. In the last third discussions and implications, it was possible to derive three main points: the establishment of integrated sport, the establishment of mutually reciprocal roles, and the creation of a living sport environment.
Conclusion: The results of the study were summarized. In addition, two discussions and studies that were limited or that required subsequent progress in relation to the study were presented. First, it is necessary to look at sport from various perspectives. Secondly, it is necessary to look at other areas of sport as well.
