Abstract

Economic transformations caused by the sanctions policy of Western countries require changes in the activity and attitudes of Russian entrepreneurs. The aim of the research is to study the investment atti-tudes of Russian entrepreneurs taking into account their attitude to the current economic policy and personal attitudes. The study involved 217 representatives of small and medium-sized businesses (with the number of employees in the company from 10 to 500 people) aged 25 to 60 years. The methodological toolkit included a scale multifactorial “Questionnaire of Attitudes towards Economic Policy” (assuming assessments both at the macrosocial and personal levels), an express investment preference’s questionnaire and socio-demographic variables. The study was conducted in May 2023 using the “Anketolog” online survey service. According to the results the motivational portrait of an entrepreneur who is ready to help the state with financial investments in new territories, there is the satisfaction with their income, in addition to a positive attitude towards the current state economic policy. The correlates of investing in shares and other securities are financial literacy, economic optimism and strong-willed activity.
