Abstract

The film industry is an extremely large business, which, like any other industry, faces difficulties associated with working in an increasingly globalized world. Studios and independent producers have to fight to ensure that their films occupy a place in the digital world, which is expanding every year. In order for the film to have a chance of success, it is necessary to make hundreds of informed decisions based on daily work at all levels of the operational hierarchy, taking into account economic and social factors. One decision is whether to outsource part of the film-making process to a foreign film crew in another country, for which there are many reasons, but this decision can have a big impact on the project as a whole. In this paper, it is intended to investigate the behavioral effects that outsourcing has during a film project in terms of team dynamics, communication and trust between management and the film crew.
