The article analyzes the processes of constructing the media image of the USSR in the space of the social network «VKontakte». The Soviet Union, being the central political institution of the twentieth century, has left a huge legacy in the public memory and for the modern man. In today's digital society, the central topos of storing this kind of memory is social media, dictating new rules for the informational agendas of reality. The main methodological solution for this study is to turn to the analysis of the hashtag «#nazadvssr», which contains an element of social nostalgia and collective memory of the Soviet period.
