Abstract
The results of the X-Ray & ultrasound examinations of the abdominal parenchymal organs in 207 children aged from 3 to 18 years with various forms of TB infection are reported in the article. Аbdominal tuberculosis can occur as an independent disease or as a manifestation of TB infection in combination with other symptoms. The ultrasound reveals the signs of tuberculous infectious process in the absence of other pathological changes according to X-Ray examination. The ultrasonic symptoms of TB lesions of abdominal parenchymal organs include the enlarged liver or spleen, increased echogenicity of the parenchyma of organs, dilation and induration of the intrahepatic vessels or splenic vein walls and calcifications in liver or spleen parenchyma.
