Abstract

The fact that the agricultural industry has attracted the attention of organizations engaged in innova- tive developments shows that technology has advanced significantly recent years. Modern technologies help to plan many agricultural operations with a certain accuracy and, if necessary, calculate the possible economic results of the organization. Many specialists in the field of agronomy have access to specialized mobile applications that allow them to identify accurately problematic agricultural areas, and provide instructions for further care and application of the necessary fertilizers. Using digital technologies, as well as high demand of employers in high-tech industries for qualified workers with digital competencies in agricultural production, creates an urgent need to form and update existing competencies among the industry employees. The coming changes require to form completely new knowledge and skills necessary both for the further spread of digital technologies, and for use in everyday life. Therefore, the most important condition to implement measures for introducing and using technological innovations is the state support for the human capital formation, which has a set of both specific and general digital competencies.
