Abstract

The article analyses the practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language on the basis of media materials and offers a model of studying mass media materials, describing basic linguistic and extralinguistic options of media text. Author offers to review every text as organized unity of three levels (context-text-subtext), giving an opportunity to interpret mass media messages and develop linguistic intuition and student’s competence.
