Abstract

The regional information space is formed under the influence of various, multidirectional processes. First of all, it’s about the influence of the federal information level, which largely sets the structure and basic principles of functioning. Nevertheless, despite the tendencies identified, in the course of the measurements carried out by the authors of the article, towards the verticalization of the regional information space relative to a single information source of the federal level, at the regional level there remains a sufficient number of information players and technical capabilities of a new type for significant adjustments and relatively independent information positions. The purpose of the article is to identify the features of the formation of a regional information space using the example of the Saratov region. To achieve this purpose, the authors used such scientific methods as: statistical method, content analysis of the information space, analytical method. The research area of this article is to analyze the regional information space. The research results are in conclusions about the specifics of the formation of the regional information space of the region, determination of the conditions for the effectiveness of communications between the government and society. Also, the authors offer their vision of a qualitative change in communicative practices for the formation of public opinion as a reference point in the management system.
