Abstract

The research examined the social and demographic characteristics of juvenile victims in Irkutsk Region and Krasnoyarsk Territory in 2008–2017 based on data provided by the Information Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The paper defined the place of social and demographic characteristics in the personality structure of a vic-tim and substantiated the importance of their re-search within victim studies. The author identified the analogous trends in the victimization of juve-niles in the regions under review. The gender and age distribution of juvenile victims changed in a similar way as well. Considering the socialization, the psychological and physiological maturation of children, the study presented the age groups of ju-veniles that could serve as a basis for changes in primary statistical reports.
