Abstract
The article exposes an important role of the tourism in the socio-economic development of national economies under current conditions. Trends in the tourism development in Ukraine at the pre-pandemic period and before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation were identified. A SWOT analysis of the tourism industry in Ukraine was made. Hypotheses were proposed and recommendations were offered on the prospects of tourism development in the post-war period
