Abstract

Abstract. At current time, in the organization of dental care to the population, the issue of providing preferential dental prosthetics is quite relevant as the number of those in need exceeds the financial capabilities of the budget. In order to improve the provision and implementation mechanisms for this type of medical care, as well as to improve the quality of life of the population, a comparative legal analysis of the regulation of this process at the federal level was carried out. By means of the chronological method, the legislative and regulatory framework for the provision of state social support in orthopedic dentistry was studied. The article discusses the main stages of the formation of dental orthopedic care, the issues of subsidies and changes in the formation of certain categories of citizens who were granted the right to free dentures and repair of dentures, enshrined at the federal level. The legal analysis showed that in our country, orthopedic dentistry was included in the general system of state medical care and assumed the provision of state support to certain categories of citizens. Over the past hundred years, the provision of subsidies and benefits has been changed by adding and abolishing certain categories of citizens and was due to changing socio-economic conditions.
