Abstract
This study conducted a survey of 329 dance majors enrolled in dance departments across the country to find out the effect of positive psychological capital on career preparation behavior and verify the mediating effect of social support. As a result, self-efficacy and optimism of positive psychological capital had a positive (+) effect on career preparation behavior, teacher support showed a partial mediating effect in the relationship between optimism, search behavior, and preparation behavior, and friend support showed a partial mediating effect. Focusing on the results and discussions, ''raising awareness of positive psychological capital in the dance field'' and ''securing a communication channel for the application of positive psychological capital and social support'' were derived as implications.
