Abstract
The article examines the history of the appearance and development of irrigation ceramics in Ancient Russia. It was found out that this type of products originated in the Ancient East, and then came from Byzantium to Ancient Russia. The main types of products found during archaeological excavations in cities are considered. The stages of formation and development of own production of irrigation ceramics, which, thanks to the masters of the past years, received its own characteristics, as well as wide development in Ancient Russia, are given.
