Abstract

The article considers the relevant topic of international inter-university exchanges in the sphere of theatre education. The paper aims to summarize the experience of the contemporary experimental Russian-Chinese theatrical-educational project of The Central Academy of Drama (Beijing) and Russian State Institute of Performing Arts (St. Petersburg). The scientific originality of the research lies in the fact that it presents the author’s approach to teaching the discipline “Scenic Speech” to Chinese drama students using two languages. As a result, the study motivates the stages of speech training which include three educational cycles, reveals the specificity of bilingualism in this variant of speech training, confirms the conclusion about the transference of acting and speech skills developed while studying in two languages into the national artistic practice.
