Abstract

The authors analyze the basic requirements for accuracy of determining the road bases upsetting. It is noted that the strictest ones are for monitoring the vertical displacement of road bases at constructing structures on soils with low bearing capacity and embankments with a height of more than 12 m. It was pointed out that the control of the highways’ footings upsetting is carried out based on the principles of inclinometry, but there is no methodology of observations through leveling. Proceeding from the rate of the deformation process for different types of road bases, the permissible value of subsidence per month is evaluated, which takes the value of 1,7 mm for capital-type roadways and 4,2 mm for lightweight type. Calculating the MSE of the support network’s heights determining and the same error of defining the deformation marks’ heights was performed. With confidence probability equal to 0,988 (t = 2,5), the MSE of determining them will be 0,5 mm. It is emphasized that for creating a height reference network, it is necessary to use the existing points of the SSS, but their altitudes need to be redetermined. The design of deformation stamps is considered and the scheme of their arrangement is presented
