The article is devoted to the analysis of the love story line of F. Dostoevsky’s novel “The Idiot”. In the novel, the element of Russian eros found its artistic realization, that was comprehended by the great Russian philosopher N. Berdyaev in his essay “Reflection on Eros” (1940) as an existential category.
