Abstract

The article is devoted to archives kept in families with German roots. Interest in them is due to the fact that they contribute to the study of the history of everyday life as an individual representative of the genus, and the community as a whole. Archives were created in order to preserve the memory of the history of the family for posterity. The data on tribal and family archives are presented. Five generic and ten family archives have been presented. The composition of the archives is reviewed in the article. The composition of the archives indicates which documents are significant for the family. The archive materials contain interesting information and can be used as a source for studying the history of family-related communities with German ancestry.
