Abstract

The purpose of the study is to identify the main ethical aspects of digital afterlife in the context of new philosophical ideas about a person as an “inforg” existing in the conditions of “infosphere” ethics (L. Floridi). The infosphere, being a new informational form of social existence, creates new ethical paradigms that cannot but affect the understanding of death and afterlife. Scientific novelty of the paper lies in taking an ethical approach to analysing the content of the “digital afterlife” concept in the context of one of the modern philosophical hypotheses of the information society. As a result, the researcher determines possible conditions for the formation of digital afterlife ethics, its development trends and features.
