Abstract

This case study intends to introduce the cases of applying ARCS model in short term Business Chinese class. ‘A’ Korean University opened a special program for senior students who are willing to learn skills and knowledge for job. This program provide chinese class which is delivering by Chinese. We could call it Content-Based Instruction method. We assumed that Most of special purpose Chinese class puts more burden on lecturer, although it could be more harder when it goes with Content-Base Instruction. However, the student have high expectations for class. We hoped that this case study of short-term special-purpose Chinese education with ARCS Model could be an example for others.
