Abstract

The literature review summarizes the data about etiology, pathogenesis and possible methods of prophylaxis of great obstetrical syndromes. It is proven that these syndromes are caused by defective deep placentation due to obstruction, absent or partial transformation of spiral arteries of deciduo-myometrial interface, that is caused by hormonal imbalance. The perspective method of prophylaxis of great obstetrical syndromes is intake of medications, that might have a modulating effect of the factors mentioned above.
