Abstract

Islam is the leading religion in all religions in which there is guidance in all aspects of life. Just as every religion and nation, instinctively adheres to certain spiritual practices and ideologies, how is it possible that Islam has abandoned guidance on this great and important aspect? Therefore, Islam has given a regular charter regarding beliefs and ideologies. After the last Messenger and his successors , it was felt necessary to explain these beliefs to masses and Sufis did this task with utmost attention. The scholarly and practical efforts of Sufis bring religious, moral and social reforms in society which gave it a new privileged status by covering the body of society with Islamic mantle. Most of the addressee of Sufis in subcontinent were infidels and polytheists. In this valley of disbelief, their priority was to inculcate the idea of oneness of God and his attributes in hearts and minds of non-Muslims. Hazrat Khawaja Nizamuddin (may Allah have mercy on him) also followed the footsteps of other Sufis and perfumed the whole society with pure monotheism. He taught divinity and prophethood to disbelievers and polytheists. He also did doctrinal and practical training as well as put focus on all other beliefs. The following is a list of the efforts of Hazrat Nizam Ul Din (may Allah have mercy on him) about how he took the task of gathering the Scattered people of subcontinent by his Sufistic reforms and played an important role in eradicating false beliefs and social evils.
