Abstract

Based on logical and framework analysis, the paper reveals the role and purpose of game activity methods in the aspect of therapeutic pedagogy. Within the framework of the anthropological and humanistic approach, their integrative nature and the possibility of a productive combination are characterized. The paper analyzes the functions of play activity methods that contribute to the health, prevention and rehabilitation effect of children with health problems. The characteristic features of their use in the history of medical pedagogy and its modern functioning are determined. Attention is paid to the educational potential of methods of play activities aimed at meeting the needs of pupils for communication, developing creativity, creating positive emotions, getting rid of various kinds of fears, etc. The importance of their influence on the child's personality, his body, various spheres of life, actualization of the tasks of rehabilitation and socialization of children with borderline mental states and special needs is emphasized.
