Abstract

Agriculture is a large segment of the domestic economy, and Russia is considered one of the world's leading producers and suppliers of wheat and sunflower. In the conditions of foreign trade restrictions and the need to build food independence, the primary task is not only to develop competitive sunflower varieties and hybrids, but also to promote intensively Russian breeding achievements among agricultural producers and to popularize a scientifically based approach to crop production in order to fully realize the potential of agricultural crops.
