Abstract

: The article is devoted to the current problem of the influence of age-specific features on the concept of psychotherapy in modern information society. The idea is substantiated that the emotions surrounding the information flow to a greater extent determine the formation of perceptions. The main content of the study is an analysis of the results of associative experiment (words of stimuli: «psychologist»; «psychotherapist»; «psychotherapy»), the questionnaire «Attitude towards psychotherapy», projective methods «Visit to psychotherapist». The author comes to the conclusion that in modern society, people of the older age group (36-50 years old) in comparison with the younger generation are less aware of obtaining psychological and therapeutic assistance, contacting qualified specialists, stereotyped in their ideas, have a negative attitude to psychotherapy, do not see the possibility of help from these specialists.
