Abstract
The article defines the relationship between entrepreneurship, the institutional environment and the economic development of the country’s regions. The dynamics of the development of entrepreneurial activity of enterprises by types of economic activity in the Russian Federation for 2020-2022 is analyzed according to the criteria for assessing the growth of the number of personnel and turnover. The scientific novelty and practical significance of the work lies in the fact that unambiguous trends towards an increase in fast-growing enterprises have been identified, which indicates the development of the field of entrepreneurship and an increase in entrepreneurial activity in the institutional environment. It is revealed that modern economic processes are aimed at the formation of high-quality entrepreneurship, which encourages the use of business opportunities.
