Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effect of faculty support on the relationship between positive psychological capital and career preparation behavior of physical education college students in the Corona 19 era, and to present the policy direction of school and department management policies.<BR> Method: To this end, the following conclusions were drawn using correlation analysis and mediated regression analysis between variables based on a total of 317 questionnaires using the convenient sampling method. <BR> Results: First, in the relationship between positive psychological capital and information-gathering behavior, the factors of hope and resilience had a significant effect, and there was no mediating effect of the factor of teaching support. Second, in the relationship between positive psychological capital and instrumental behavior, the hope factor uniquely had a significant effect, and it was confirmed that there was a partial mediating effect of the faculty support factor. Third, in the relationship between positive psychological capital and goal achievement behavior, the factors of self-efficacy and hope had a positive effect (+) and resilience had a negative effect (-), and there was no mediating effect of teaching support factors.<BR> Conclusion: In the situation where Corona 19 is prolonged, college students in physical education have difficulty preparing for their careers because only the hope factors of positive psychological capital have a positive effect on all dependent variables. Especially, in the case of resilience, positive effect on information execution and negative effect on achievement behavior of goal are shown. Therefore, the policy to increase resilience should be given priority in schools and departments, and efforts should be made to ensure that there are no difficulties in preparing for a career by thoroughly managing the students of the faculty.
