Abstract

The article presents the results of a study of the particle-size distribution of ordinary calcareous chernozem using the following methods: field, classical pipet method, areometric method and laser diffraction method. When interpreting, the principle of logical and terminological analysis "term - definition - method - result - classification" was applied. A comparative analysis of the data obtained showed that the results of laboratory tests of the same soil samples depend both on the method of preparing soil samples and on the method of quantitative accounting of particles. Possible modifications of the preparation of soil samples are presented, which allow minimizing the resulting differences. The results were used to develop algorithms for aggregating disparate data into a single Soil Geographic Database of Russia. Keywords: GRANULOMETRIC COMPOSITION, METHODS OF DETERMINATION, DATABASE, CHERNOZEM ORDINARY CARBONATE
