Abstract

The research aims to consider the particularities of the grammatical system of professional English for radiotelephony communication in aviation. The paper is novel in that it is the first to analyse the theoretical basis of the language grammatical system, which should ensure the unambiguity of speech perception and the possibility of rapid transmission of oral messages by means of radio communication in both standard and difficult speech situations. The research findings prove that the effective functioning of English for radiotelephony communication in aviation is achieved using a limited set of grammatical means and short syntactic constructions, which ensures an optimal ratio of the reliability and brevity requirements for this professional language.
