Abstract

The article considers the evolution of programming languages from procedural to functional and logical paradigms. Particular attention is paid to key stages in the development of programming languages, such as the transition from procedural methods to object-oriented, functional and logical approaches. The article provides a comparative analysis of various paradigms, their advantages and disadvantages, and discusses modern trends and hybrid languages that combine elements of several paradigms. The impact of these changes on software development is considered and further directions of development of programming languages are predicted.
