Abstract

Abstract Evaluation of Yemeni Ibb University according to Total Quality Standards Abstract The aim of this research is to recognize the performance of the Yemeni Universities and to evaluate that performance according to Total Quality Standards as viewed by the academic top management of the Ibb University in Yemen. The researcher uses the descriptive- analytic method. The research sample includes 100 members of the teaching staff in the university. And the researcher designed (formed) a questionnaire composed of 93 statements, related to 5 fields which are ( the availability of Total Quality Requirements in the university education, the member of teaching staff, assessment and modification methods, sources of learning, study syllabus). And the research comes out with the following results: - There are some differences with statistical value at the level (0.05) in the perceptions of the Top Management of the university regarding the level of the availability of the Total Quality requirements in the university education and that is due to one variable which is (Job Position). - There are some differences with statistical value at the level (0.05) in the perceptions of the Top Management of the University regarding the education quality in Ibb University at the level of the teaching staff member and the study syllabus due to one variable which is (Academic Years of Experience). - There are no differences with statistical value at the level of (0.05) in the perceptions of the Top Management of University regarding the level of university education quality at the level of research fields and the total of the tool is due to one variable which is ( educational degree and the specialization). The research presents some recommendations, the most important of these recommendations are : - There should be some agreed standards of university education quality in Yemen Universities which reflect the expectations of the beneficiary and that may simplify the application of these standards for those in charge of it. - They should make use of the international experiences to launch the success of the application of Total Quality Management in the Higher Education Sector
