Abstract

The article describes a vivid example of individualization and creative adoption of the European comics, the ground for inter-medial experiments of the French painter Edmond Baudoin. The artist not only introduces high-quality graphics into comics but creates truly deep artistic space applying to other forms of art. The researchers consider such issues as the formation of the artist’s creative method and reliability of guidelines identified by Edmond Baudoin himself in his autobiographical works.
