Abstract

This article, first of all, characterizes monopoly, highlighting its distinctive features. Then the main emphasis is placed on the study of the essence of antimonopoly policy, with the identification of its basic principles, goals and objectives. In addition, the work also reveals the measures of antimonopoly policy, identifying the most important causes and consequences of monopolization. Undoubtedly, the topic of our research is very relevant and at the current level of economic development. This is due to the fact that antimonopoly policy acts as the main component of state and municipal management. And it puts as its main purpose of activity the prevention and suppression of monopolistic activity in the market, as well as the protection of the interests of consumers of certain goods or services.
