Abstract

Urban park operates as space to increase quality of people living in urban environment. One of the important function of urban park is reducing urban disaster risk. As sunset law of un-implemented long term urban planning facilities starts to effect in 2020, development pressure of urban park will increase which will also affect the venerability of urban area. In this study, we assessed the change of urban disaster risk according development in urban area. We chose two risk, urban flood and urban heat island, which impact is mostly high as well as frequency. As the urban parks been develop, risk of urban flood increases by same precipitation and land surface temperature also increases which causes urban heat island effect. Therefore, to prevent indiscriminate development, a new policy with pragmatic guide line of urban park development will be needed.
