Abstract

The article proves the necessity of implementing the program "History of Pop Music" in the aesthetic education of teenagers, which allows to form not only aesthetic perceptions, feelings, taste, attitude, but also to form spiritual values associated with mercy, love, patriotism, dignity, etc. Its main components are described: motivational, emotional, informational, cognitive, creative components in the study of jazz and rock music. Modules for the study of pop music art in extracurricular activities are proposed.
