Abstract

This article proposes a calculation method of frozen soil temperature field in the base of the buildings with ventilated basement and with using thermostabilizers. The results of calculation indicate that finned thermostabilizers provide the necessary decrease in temperature (up to 3…4°C) during the first year of their exploitation (for the longest buildings in plan). The application of unfinned thermostabilizers (even though their coefficient of the heat exchange with air is substantially lower than for finned one) provides a sufficieny cooling effect (up to 1…2°C) for faint saline sandy ground, which are wide-spread in any cold regions. In the latter case, it allows creating a most efficient construction of foundation: an unfinned thermostabilizer is placed completely inside a pile’s corps. The authors have compared the calculation results for unfinned thermostabilizers with existing experimental data, which confirm the basis of suggested technical decision in facts.
