Abstract

Some aspects of the natural mechanism of formaldehyde transformation in atmospheric air are considered. The chemical processes that provide a natural mechanism for the transformation of formaldehyde in the atmosphere of Tyumen, with the formation of carbon monoxide (CO), are refined. The values of temperature, air humidity, and atmospheric pressure favorable for photodissociation of formaldehyde in the atmosphere were established. It is shown that in the summer period of the year for class II weather, the formaldehyde content below the MPC was found in 77.8% of observations with a conjugate increase in CO concentrations in the atmospheric air. The most active natural processes of self-purification of the atmosphere from formaldehyde, contributing to the preservation of components of its natural composition, are implemented in the conditions of Sunny hot dry weather class II
