Today’s youth is the category of the population that is able to influence social development. They are actively involved in various types of physical culture and sports activities, which requires physical and emotional ex-penditures from young people. The authors of the work believe that universities should act as a social institution that has certain mechanisms aimed at health preservation of students. One of such mechanisms is student sports clubs, which are actively developing and implementing their activities within the framework of higher schools today. Student sports clubs are communities of students who initiate various sports projects them-selves, strive to successfully implement them, attracting students to various types of physical activity, forming their needs for health–saving behavior.
