Abstract

Breastfeeding (BF) is the foundation of child health and has many benefits for both mother and child health. Increasing BF prevalence and duration is one of the priority tasks of the pediatric community, supported at the state level. The active promotion of infant formulas undoubtedly has a negative impact on BF prevalence. The article observes regulatory acts on breast milk substitutes marketing and the practice of BF supporting in the Russian Federation.
