Abstract

A comparative analysis of the composition and properties of titanosilicate powders obtained with the use of technogenic raw materials or being production wastes was carried out and their influence on the properties of cement compositions was studied. It is shown that the effectiveness of the action of nanodispersed titanosilicate powders depends on their specific surface area, phase composition, and on the method of introducing nanosized additives into the bulk of the cement matrix. Despite the differences observed in the chemical and phase composition, specific surface, and morphology, they all exhibit photocatalytic activity in the methylene blue decomposition reaction and self-cleaning and bactericidal properties in the composition of the cement matrix, accelerate hydration and increase the strength of the binder.
