Abstract

The article considers the main models of formation and development of the transitive economy of Ukraine on a market basis. It is shown that these models reflect the methodological positions of scientists to assess the state of real economic processes in the country and forecast the new economic reality. It is revealed that, as before, the reference point for all methodological developments of domestic authors is the externally imposed neoliberal model of market reality, which has developed in Western European countries. The article shows that the choice of one's own model of functioning and development, adequate to the problematic Ukrainian transitional economy, should be balanced, taking into account its real state and opportunities for self-development.
