Abstract
The relevance of the study is determined by the increasing prevalence in the adolescent environment of self-destructive behavior as a reaction to a complex mental state, stress and the experiencing a crisis. On the other hand, numerous studies show the factor of parent-child relationships dominating in the picture of emotional difficulties of adolescents. Data from an empirical study involving 60 adolescents are presented. The study analyzed the perceptions of adolescents about parental attitudes towards them, the educational position of parents; a tendency to deviate behavior, including selfharm; a tendency to suicidal reactions. The empirical data obtained, generalized patterns constitute a serious basis for highlighting the factor of destructive child-parental relations as one of the reasons for the self-destructive behavior of adolescents. Parent-child relations were studied in adolescents’ perceptions of parenting style and the nature of parental attitude.
