Abstract
The article deals with the issues of enhancing scientific research and development, modernizing production, creating modern technologies and developing human resources for the formation of an innovative infrastructure for enterprises in the electric power industry. The features of innovative projects related to the development and construction of electric power facilities are disclosed. Based on the analysis of world experience in innovative design, the choice of methods for the feasibility study of projects and the stage of development work aimed at modifying and improving previously operated means of production, materials used, and production technologies is analyzed. The directions of the perspective functioning of the enterprises of the electric power industry, the requirements for the ability of the project to generate, provide self-financing and rational ways of practical implementation of the results of fundamental research at enterprises are outlined.
