Abstract

In the process of developing the digital economy, developed countries that are making the transition to a new technological order are facing an increasing number of social risks, one of which is the increase in gender inequality in the sphere of labor and society as a whole. The main goal of the article is to reveal the problem of gender inequality in the modern society of Kyrgyzstan. The article examines the employment of women and men in the economy, wage differentiation, and the level of unemployment by gender and participation in the digital economy and in STEM professions. In conclusion, measures to overcome gender inequality in modern digital society were proposed.
