Abstract

The article for the first time considers the text-formative and phatic potential of Kabardino-Circassian interjections. The author’s studies in this sphere lead to the conclusion that interjections help to realize a wide range of semantic shades, which overlap the general meaning of a sentence. According to the analysis results, dialogic interaction is impossible without the listener’s verbal participation: communicative intention of words, in particular, interjections, can be implemented without interlocutors’ immediate communication.
