Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a behavioral - cognitive group counseling program among juvenile delinquents in Jordan. The sample of the study consisted of (60) male and female juveniles who were distributed into an experimental group which received the group counseling program and the control group which was not exposed to the group counseling program. The self-concept scale and the scale of anger were applied in the beginning and in the end of the study to all sample members. The results indicated significant differences between the two groups in relation to modifying self-concept, and reducing level of anger. The results revealed, however, insignificant differences between the two groups in relation to sex.
