Abstract

The article is devoted to identifying value meanings of sound nominations in K. Modick’s novel “Konzert ohne Dichter”, which has not previously attracted linguists’ attention and is for the first time analysed from the linguo-axiological viewpoint. The researcher identifies sound sources and their functions, describes the means of sound verbalization, shows how sound nominations correlate with values. The paper concludes that the technique of immersing sound nominations into a certain context forms stable associative relation, which allows interpreting a situation, phenomenon, actions or a sound image itself from the axiological perspective.
