Abstract
Preservation of Orthodoxy among the Russian-speaking communities abroad is a priority task of the Russian Orthodox Church of Moscow Patriarchy. The article tries to reconstruct the process of establishing Orthodox institutions in modern Cambodia and to reveal the factors influencing this process. Relying on previous studies, Internet sources and personal observations, the author identifies two stages of Orthodoxy propagation in the Kingdom of Cambodia and concludes that the size and activity of the Russian-speaking communities in Siem Reap, Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville are key factors in this process.
