Abstract

This paper attempts to collect and review the academic writings on Indian history published in Korea between 2018 and 2021. The research on Indian history in Korea during this period is characterized by the diversification of research topics and the establishment of a careful analysis of primary sources and relevant literature on a particular subject. While studies of modern and contemporary history of India showed remarkable progress, studies on the ancient and medieval history of India was relatively sluggish.BR In particular, I collected and reviewed the numerous research achievements produced by the scholars in other fields. As a result, it was found that the period and subjects dealt in some of their studies almost coincided with those of Korean scholars of Indian history. I hope that Korean scholars will have an opportunity to share the trends of various changes both inside and outside academia from a broader perspective to consider the direction of future research on Indian history.
